Great spring night for sunset in the Appalachian mountains. The sky cast a watercolor orange and pink color across lake, which reflected perfectly in the glass-still surface. I just had to fly the drone up to get this aerial view 👍 🌅 .
Found this cool old growth tree on one of my favorite local trails. It’s been way too long since getting in some miles! I also had the chance to compare the Canon R5, R, and 5DSR on this hike, the link is in my bio if you’d like to see the findings 🌲 🌲 🌲
Solo 🌲 ❄️ I came across this scene while hiking to Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain national park. The day was cloudy and windy, except for one brief moment when the sun burst through and lit up this lone young pine standing by itself along the mountain slope. Just a moment later, the sun disappeared and snow squalls burst through, blanketing the scene and hiding the pine from view.
Another image of last week’s full moon setting over the ocean at sunrise. The sky reflected a rainbow of color in the wet sand just before official sunrise. I like this spot especially for the crazy lines in the sand that form around the scattered rocks, drawing the view out to the breaking waves. If you’d like to see the video of this scene check out my YT video of the morning (link in bio)
Same scene, 10 minutes apart. Which do you prefer, 1 or 2? 🌅
The full moon setting over the ocean at sunrise has to be one of my favorite ways to start the day.
While not a huge grand vista, the local trails through the woods near where I grew up are always a favorite!🌲 🌲 🌲 Spring weather is always unpredictable... new video link in bio if you’d like to see the rapid turn of events shortly after this hike 👍
Looking a lot more like spring this week
Alone in a mountain blizzard ❄️ 🏔 Swipe ➡️ to see the full view!
Spring hiking in the mountains looks an awful lot like winter. I enjoyed watching this snowstorm roll over the mountain peaks, at least until the wind & snow caught up to me! 🌅🏔 Swipe ➡️ to see the full view
